St. Peters Backstop

The City of Cambridge is soliciting bids from qualified general contractors to construct the “St. Peters Backstop,” a comprehensive athletic fencing and support‑structure project at a softball field. The scope includes demolition of existing improvements, installation of a 10‑foot chain‑link fence with a 30‑foot ball‑containment netting system, construction of shade structures for team areas, erection of additional chain‑link fencing and gates, and a complete backstop assembly. Bidders must demonstrate recent experience on at least three similar municipal or athletic fencing projects, provide references, and comply with extensive local requirements such as Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation (minimum 10 % of bid price), performance and payment bonds equal to 100 % of the contract price, insurance with the City as additional insured, adherence to the Cambridge Living Wage Ordinance, and various labor, safety, and anti‑discrimination statutes.
