Underground Utility Locating Services

The City of Englewood is seeking a contractor to provide underground utility locating services, including water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater. The contractor will be required to locate utilities on an as-needed basis, provide pricing for watch and protect services, and respond to emergency locate requests. The contract will be for a one-year term, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. The city is looking for a contractor with experience in utility locating, a strong understanding of the project requirements, and the ability to perform duties as outlined in the RFP. • The contractor will be responsible for locating utilities, providing pricing for watch and protect services, and responding to emergency locate requests. • The contractor will be required to have a customer portal for the city to view locate tickets and have a dedicated local representative available to respond to city inquiries. • The contractor will be required to update their copy of city facility maps and distribute those updates to all field personnel within the first week of each month. • The contractor will be required to provide training for technicians and equip them with locating equipment. • The contractor will be responsible for investigating incidents of damage to city facilities and providing a written report of their findings.
