Description
The City of Williamsburg is seeking bids to upgrade signal and pedestrian infrastructure along the Richmond Road and Lafayette Street corridors. The work includes removal of existing pedestrian push‑buttons, installation of new Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) push‑button stations, integration of watertight GPS equipment in traffic signal cabinets, and replacement of pedestrian signal heads and panels to meet current VDOT standards at multiple intersections. This locally administered project is funded through the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Smart Scale program and will be performed by a qualified contractor with experience in traffic‑signal and electrical work.
