GREENFIELD PARK IMPROVEMENTS

The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified contractor to perform asphalt milling and resurfacing, tree‑root remediation, grading, seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and traffic‑control work on multiple sections of a 5‑mile loop trail in Greenfield Park. The scope includes removal and replacement of asphalt, mitigation of tree‑root impacts, and restoring disturbed areas to a vegetated condition while maintaining pedestrian safety. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with a 180‑day construction schedule and a one‑year warranty. • Asphalt milling & placement for 14‑15 trail sections (≈ 5–7.5 CY each). • Tree‑root mitigation (bridging, rerouting, barrier, or removal) and site grading with seeding/fertilizing/mulching. • Traffic‑control measures, signage, detours, lighting, and watchmen for public safety. • No bid bond or performance bond required; insurance and licensing requirements apply; MBE/WBE participation required in subcontracts.
