2025-2026 Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Project

The City of Hayward is seeking a contractor to perform sewer manhole rehabilitation services. The project includes the improvement of 21 manholes, with work divided into two categories: channelizing and rehabilitating. Channelizing involves shaping or reconstructing the bottom of the manhole, while rehabilitating involves adding a mortar and epoxy composite corrosion barrier system. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with property owners, providing traffic control, and maintaining access to properties. The project must be completed within 90 working days from the contract notice to proceed date. • The contractor must be a licensed contractor with the State of California with experience in sewer manhole rehabilitation. • The contractor must provide proof of successful completion of at least five other projects similar in size and scope to the work specified within the last two years. • The contractor must demonstrate a minimum level of five years direct experience in sewer manhole rehabilitation. • The contractor must provide a proposed cost breakdown for each bid item listed in the pricing proposal. • The contractor must provide insurance for commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation and employer's liability, and professional liability.
