Demolition of Unsafe Structures

The James City County is seeking bids from qualified and experienced firms to establish a contract with firm-fixed unit pricing for the demolition of unsafe structures at various locations on an as-needed basis. The contractor will be given exact locations and legal descriptions of structures to be demolished when demolition has been determined necessary by the County. The contractor shall inspect each site and provide a price quote for each individual job and provide a quote to the County, who will then issue a Purchase Order for that site. • The contractor will be required to obtain necessary permits before starting work. • The contractor will be required to inspect each site and provide a price quote for each individual job. • The contractor will be required to provide a quote to the County, who will then issue a Purchase Order for that site. • The contractor will be required to complete the work in a satisfactory manner and obtain approval from the JCC Director of Building, Safety and Permits or other designated County staff.
