Cellular Distributed Antenna System for the San Mateo North County Wellness Center Project

The County of San Mateo is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide design, procurement, programming, and installation services for a new Cellular Distributed Antenna System (DAS) at the North County Wellness Center. The system should provide two-way cellular voice and data coverage throughout the facility, including all interior spaces, for AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile/Sprint networks. The system must be neutral-host (shared) and 5G-ready, with a minimum of 95% in-building coverage for voice and data service. The project consists of two phases: Phase 1 - Design, Engineering, Submittal, and Procurement, and Phase 2 - Installation, Testing, Commissioning, and Warranty. • The system should support multi-carrier operation for AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile/Sprint. • The system should provide minimum 95% in-building coverage for voice and data service. • The system should include remote monitoring and alarm reporting capability for power, temperature, and amplifier faults. • The system should comply with NEC, local building codes, RF exposure/EMF rules, and seismic/structural fastening requirements.
