Comprehensive Downtown Parking Study & Management Plan RFQ

The City of Shelton is seeking a qualified consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive downtown parking study and management plan. The study will evaluate the existing parking supply and demand, project future parking needs, and provide recommendations to alleviate current friction points and prevent future deficits. The scope of work includes a study area and inventory, utilization and demand analysis, future projections and gap analysis, and recommendations and implementation plan. The selected firm will be required to provide a proposal that includes a letter of interest, firm qualifications and team profiles, project approach and methodology, relevant experience and references, project timeline, and cost proposal. • The study area includes the Howe Avenue corridor and the Canal Street corridor. • The scope of work includes a baseline inventory of current public and private parking spaces. • The study will analyze the impact of recently completed and proposed multi-family residential projects on parking demand. • The selected firm will be required to provide a comprehensive report detailing data analysis, future projections, and prioritized recommendations. • The firm will also be required to provide public presentations of the findings to the Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission and other designated stakeholder groups.
