Construction of a new multi-use path along Steed Road and Highland Colony Parkway

The City of Ridgeland, Mississippi, is seeking bids for the construction of a new multi-use path along Steed Road and Highland Colony Parkway. The project includes the construction of a 0.42-mile long, 10-feet wide, asphalt multi-use path, storm drain, retaining walls, and all other related items of work. The contractor will be required to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings. The contract documents are available for examination at the City of Ridgeland Public Works Department and Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC. • The project is a Federal Aid Project, and the contractor must comply with the Contract Provisions governing selection and employment of labor. • The contractor must submit a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid price. • The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. • The project must be completed in accordance with the Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017. • The contractor must ensure that disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises are afforded the full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against.
