The National Park Service intends to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source master cooperative agreement for the Point Reyes National Seashore Young Stewards Program. The program aims to engage over 1,000 youth in seashore science educational activities in 2019 and 2020. The project includes four main components: Point Reyes Summer Camp and School Program, Seashore Youth Ambassadors Program, Science at the Seashore Program, and Science Internships. The recipient will be responsible for implementing these programs, providing educational staff and resources, and collaborating with NPS staff.
• The program will provide scholarships for underserved youth to attend summer camps and environmental education programs.
• The Seashore Youth Ambassadors Program will deliver an immersion environmental education program for middle school youth.
• The Science at the Seashore Program will provide day-long science field trips and a week-long science immersion program for teens.
• The Science Internships will provide work experiences for college students and recent graduates in science and natural resource management.
