Description
The City of Thomaston is seeking bids for the West Main/Elliots Crossing Water, Sewer, Storm Drainage and Street Improvements project. The project involves the installation of water system improvements, sanitary sewer system improvements, storm water system improvements, and road improvements. The project requires the installation of 3,700 LF of 8” CL350 DIP Water Main, 3,572 LF of 8” gravity main, and various other equipment, labor, materials, and testing. The project also includes the installation of a stormwater pond, catch basins, and junction boxes. The contractor must be licensed by the State of Georgia and comply with applicable state and federal bid laws.
• The project is funded by RWHI funds through the Department of Community Affairs.
• The project requires compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements.
• The City is committed to providing equal access to its services, programs, activities, education, and employment.
• The project involves mobilization and demobilization, traffic control, erosion control, pressure testing, and stump removal.
• The contractor must provide a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid.
• The contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, if the contract is awarded.
