6515--Automatic Tablet Cutter

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources capable of providing an Automated Tablet Cutter equivalent to the Swisslog ezCut Tablet Cutter. The VA Greater Los Angeles Inpatient Pharmacy Department requires a device that can accurately split and sort oral solid medications. The contractor shall provide a standalone equipment solution that meets the specified salient characteristics, including automatic shape recognition, canister-free operation, and hygienic workflow. The device must be compact, robust, and have a minimum of 12 months warranty. * The device must be able to split tablets with precise cutting accuracy and a minimum speed of 20 tablets per minute. * The device must be able to identify and recognize round and oblong tablets, as well as count a minimum of 60 to 80 tablets per minute. * The device must have a capability of pill counting and automatically separate rejected pills into a separate collection cup. * The contractor must provide a solution that meets the requirements of the Buy American Act and have FDA clearance. * The contractor must also provide information about their company, including size status, business representation, and SAM.gov Unique Entity ID/Cage Code number.
