2026 Laser Guided Training Round (LGTR) BDU-59C/B Product Improvement Plan

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is seeking to improve the BDU-59C/B Laser Guided Training Round (LGTR) through a sole source contract with Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control. The contract will involve engineering and testing support for integration to improve the LGTR and add an additional lug. Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of LGTR and has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities, and technical data necessary to meet this requirement. • The contract is anticipated to be awarded no later than 4th Quarter of 2026. • A formal Request for Proposal is anticipated in Q2 of 2026. • The Government is not committed nor obligated to pay for the information provided, and no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought Notice.
