Hughes Park Freedom Rock Parking Area

The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the Hughes Park Freedom Rock Parking Area. The project includes the construction of an ADA accessible parking stall, two regular stalls, and a sidewalk connecting to the freedom rock. The contractor will be responsible for all construction necessary to complete the project, including demolition, dirt work, sub-base, concrete, finish grade work, and signage and striping. The project must be completed by June 19, 2026. • The contractor must possess a certificate of completion showing that they have successfully completed a ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA 10) or a similar program for on-site employees. • The contractor is responsible for all permits and licenses to perform the duties of this contract. • The contractor must provide a copy of proof of completion of the OSHA 10 course to the City upon request. • The contractor will be required to comply with the excavation permit process and Iowa One Call for digging.
