2026 Laser Guided Training Round (LGTR) BDU-59C/B Product Improvement Plan

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Lockheed Martin Corporation for the 2026 Laser Guided Training Round (LGTR) BDU-59C/B Product Improvement Plan. The project involves program management, test, and engineering support to improve the BDU-59C/B by continuing the development and testing of a twin lug carriage. • The project is a sole source negotiation, meaning only one responsible source can meet the agency's requirements. • Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LGTR. • The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice, but there are no commitments to issue solicitations or make awards. • The project is anticipated to be awarded in Q2 of 2026.
