Procurement Exemption for Creative Conversations Training

The Pierce County Human Services is seeking to contract with a vendor to provide a proprietary provider training, specifically the Creative Conversations curriculum, to Coordinated Entry (CE) providers. The training aims to empower CE staff to conduct exploratory and problem-solving focused conversations to resolve housing crises. The contract is expected to have an initial term of 12 months with an estimated cost of $100,000. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing the Creative Conversations training to CE providers • Training CE staff to conduct exploratory and problem-solving focused conversations • Empowering people to identify housing solutions using a tailored blend of mediation, motivational interviewing, and strength-based skills • Using a combination of classroom instruction and experiential scenario learning • Meeting the minimum qualifications, including being authorized to instruct the Creative Conversations curriculum developed by the Center for Dialog & Resolution (CDR)
