Description
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking capability statements from qualified small businesses to provide commercial kennel boarding and associated animal care services for CBP-owned canines in the Los Angeles/Long Beach (LALB) corridor. The contractor will be required to provide secure, safe, and insured boarding and care for CBP-owned canines, including daily feeding and fresh water, exercise, sanitation/cleaning, quarantine/isolation, vaccination record maintenance, basic administration of owner-provided medications, incident reporting, and emergency veterinary coordination. The facility must be located within a reasonable driving distance of LAX and the Port of Long Beach, and must meet specific requirements for kennel runs, fencing, lighting, and ventilation.
• The contractor must have experience in providing kenneling services for working dogs.
• The contractor must have a facility that meets the specific requirements outlined in the Statement of Work.
• The contractor must be able to provide 24/7 access for CBP personnel.
• The contractor must be able to house 25-35 canines concurrently, with surge capability for up to 7 additional during emergencies.
