The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) promotes coordination of Natural Resources and Conservation Service (NRCS) conservation activities with partners that offer value-added contributions to expand our collective ability to address on-farm, watershed, and regional natural resource concerns. Through RCPP, NRCS seeks to co-invest with partners to implement projects that demonstrate innovative solutions to conservation challenges and provide measurable improvements and outcomes tied to the resource concerns they seek to address. Key aspects of the program include:
• Partnering with NRCS to deliver conservation assistance to producers, landowners, and communities
• Co-investing in projects that demonstrate innovative solutions to conservation challenges
• Providing financial and technical assistance to project partners and agricultural producers
• Focusing on priority resource concerns such as water quality degradation, inadequate habitat for fish and wildlife, and excess or insufficient water
• Encouraging partner contributions, including cash and in-kind contributions, to leverage NRCS investments
• Evaluating applications based on impact, contributions, innovation, and partnership and management criteria
