The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a custom biaxial thermomechanical stage for use with SAXS/WAXS Beamlines. The stage must meet specific technical specifications, including a temperature range of RT to 250°C, a sample thermal area of 200 x 200 mm, and motorized movement range of 0-200 mm. The stage must also have gas-purge capability, 2-axis tensile tension via stepper motors, and optical access from one side of the sample. The supplier must provide EPICS software integration for both tensile and temperature control. The project timeline is not to exceed 5 months from receipt of order.
Key features of the required stage include:
• Temperature range: RT to 250°C
• Sample thermal area: 200 x 200 mm
• Motorized movement range: 0-200 mm
• Gas-purge capability up to 0.5 Bar
• 2-axis tensile tension via stepper motors with 20N or 200N force sensors
• ±60° optical access from one side of the sample
• Slotted transmission aperture and underside window
• Kapton windows
• Convection heating
• Vertical stage mounting
