Description

The City of Bryan is seeking bids to establish an annual price agreement for sulphur dioxide. The agreement will be for a period of 12 months, with the option to extend for four additional terms of one year each. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the vendor offering the best value. The bid must include all costs for delivery, unloading, and container rental. The vendor must provide an SDS for the first product shipment and again as amendments or changes are made to the SDS. The vendor must also provide one annual safety-training event for the City of Bryan. Key factors to be considered in the evaluation of bids include conformity to specifications, purchase price, reputation of the bidder, quality of the bidder's goods or services, and the bidder's past performance under contracts with the City of Bryan. Some of the key requirements for the bid include: • Packaging and shipment of product and placarding of delivery vehicle shall conform to the current U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and other federal, state, and local requirements. • Unit pricing must include all costs for delivery, unloading, and container rental. • Shipments shall be made between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday unless otherwise approved in advance by the City. • Deliveries shall be made within three (3) working days of order. • Vendor shall provide all labor and equipment necessary to unload and transport product. • The Vendor’s vehicle shall be capable of unloading and loading of cylinders through means of a hydraulic or other system allowing the Vendor to articulate, position, load, and unload cylinders from the vehicle’s control station.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate without knowing the exact quantities of sulphur dioxide required by the City of Bryan. However, based on the fact that the City is seeking an annual price agreement, it is likely that the contract value will be substantial. Assuming an average annual consumption of sulphur dioxide and a moderate price per unit, the total contract value could range from $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is highly speculative and may vary depending on various factors, including the actual quantities required, market prices, and the bidder's pricing strategy.
