Commodity Processing-Eggs

The Utah Cooperative for Acquiring Resources Efficiently (UCARE) organization is seeking a qualified supplier to process USDA Commodity Egg products. The selected supplier will be responsible for providing egg products that meet the specifications and requirements outlined in the RFP. The contract will be for a period of one year, from July 1 to June 30, with an estimated usage of 45,650 pounds of egg products. The supplier must be properly licensed to do business in the State of Utah and be a USDA-approved processing plant. The supplier must also comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including those related to food safety and nutrition. Some key points to consider include: * The supplier must provide products that are equal to or better than the products listed under each item on the Price Schedule * The supplier must provide SEPDS sheets, CN labeling, and/or product specification sheets for all products being quoted * The supplier must submit a monthly product velocity report to UCARE, attention Michelle McCombs, at the end of each month, and a yearly report at the end of each school year * The supplier must provide information detailing a Food Recall Provision which must comply with all Federal, State and local requirements regarding the identification and recall of foods * The supplier must have a small business initiative, fostering a positive environment to support minority, women-owned and labor surplus areas
