The FY 2026 U.S. Creative Tech Exchange is a new international arts exchange program that aims to drive economic growth by connecting U.S. creative professionals and technologists with international peers working at the intersection of the arts and emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI). The program will support up to 30 participants through short-term, hands-on activities such as collaborative labs, fellowships, workshops, and public showcases. The Bureau Of Educational and Cultural Affairs will award one U.S.-based nonprofit or educational organization $1.32 million to design and implement the program in close coordination with the Bureau and U.S. embassies.
Some key aspects of the program include:
• Promoting cultural exchanges and enhancing understanding between participants and their host communities
• Supporting participants in developing their skills and knowledge in areas such as architecture, creative coding and gaming, fashion, graphic design, music, and immersive art
• Encouraging participants to share their experiences and knowledge with others, and to develop new connections and collaborations
• Evaluating the program's effectiveness in achieving its objectives, including the number of participants, the quality of the program, and the impact on the participants and their communities
