Training Facility, Phase III - Construction Manager-At-Risk

The City of Sugar Land is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the Public Safety Training Facility, Phase III project. The project involves the design and construction of fire training structures for live fire training and a permanent 20-25 lane gun range. The CMAR will provide preconstruction and construction services, including a guaranteed maximum price. The project is estimated to cost around $28,000,000 and is expected to start in early 2027. The City is looking for a CMAR with experience in public safety training facilities and a strong background in the CMAR delivery process. Key features of the project include: • A new indoor 50 yard gun range • An outside 100 yard range with 10-20 lanes • A 3 story commercial/residential burn building • Associated site work, including roads, parking areas, drainage, electrical, water, septic system, and site lighting The City is seeking a CMAR that can provide a team with the necessary experience and expertise to deliver the project on time and within budget.
