Encyclopedia Britannica

The Department of the Air Force is seeking willing and capable businesses to provide one base year and three option years of Encyclopedia Britannica for DoD Libraries. The contractor must be able to provide online research tools from professionally curated sources, offer trusted information for a balanced global perspective, and include over 87,000 articles, 23,000 biographies, and 44,600 images and maps. The contractor must also be able to provide a password and username authenticated URL for access and work with the contract POC to establish authentication methods. Some key features of the required Encyclopedia Britannica include: • Over 87,000 articles, 23,000 biographies, and 44,600 images and maps • Primary sources can be accessed directly from the articles • Must include over 3.25 million images from over 60 leading collections • Must provide access to digital Encyclopedia Britannica Academic, Britannica Original Sources, and Image collection • Must be able to interface with all 4-service branch library and Military OneSource websites • Must have Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3 and HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) with long duration deployed on the servers
