2026 MHP Gap Funding NOFA

The 2026 Multifamily Gap Funding NOFA aims to support construction-ready projects that have an existing HCD Loan Commitment but are unable to move forward due to funding gaps. The NOFA provides funds for previously HCD-awarded projects that demonstrate readiness and commit to applying to the next funding cycle of California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC). Eligible applicants include businesses, non-profits, public agencies, and tribal governments. The total estimated available funding is $240,000,000. • Eligible projects must have an existing HCD award from one or more of the qualifying HCD programs. • Projects must not have begun construction. • Eligible geographies include all areas across California, with a 10% set-aside for rural areas. • The application deadline is 6/5/26 16:00. • The expected award announcement is in August of 2026.
