Description
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking bids for a master agreement contract for equipment rental and highway sweeping services in District 1. The contract will be for an initial period of approximately one year, with optional renewal periods. The successful bidder will be required to provide highway sweeping equipment and services, including sweeping, removal of foreign matter and debris, and disposal of such materials. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining and controlling traffic during sweeping operations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
Key responsibilities of the contractor will include:
* Sweeping portions of the roadway as designated
* Removal of all accumulated foreign matter and debris from the highway shoulders
* Disposal of all accumulated foreign matter and debris at an approved site(s) off right-of-way
* Maintenance and control of traffic
* Providing equipment and personnel to perform the work
* Coordinating with other projects in the area
* Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
The contractor will be required to provide proof of insurance, including general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and to comply with all terms and conditions of the contract.
