NASA Underwater Training and Testing

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is seeking potential industry partners to provide underwater training and testing services. The contractor will be required to provide the infrastructure, personnel, training, materials, and operational support necessary to execute a multi-day underwater training and testing capability demonstration. The primary objective is to systematically demonstrate and evaluate the contractor's ability to perform spaceflight-analog training. Secondary objectives include performing human research and technology maturation within a subsea environment. Some key requirements include: • Providing a subsea saturation habitat to support four NASA-provided participants for a minimum of five continuous days at a minimum depth of 12 meters • Demonstrating helmet diving operations and bi-directional telemetry • Operating a facility control center and providing data integration and compliance • Establishing real-time bi-directional connectivity with NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) • Maintaining compliance with all state and federal safety and environmental regulations The contractor will be required to provide a capabilities statement, and if an RFQ or RFP stems from this RFI, it will be posted separately and independently from this RFI at a later date.
