Description
The City of Florence is accepting sealed bids from licensed and qualified contractors for the Freedom Boulevard 30 inch Water Line project. The project scope includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to construct the water line, consisting of approximately 5,615 LF of 30" DIP waterline along Freedom Blvd, 1,000 LF of 12" DIP and 1,125 LF of 12" PVC along Becky's Pkwy, and 1,178 LF of 8" DIP along Saint Beulah Rd. The construction time limit for the base bid is 365 consecutive days, with additional time allowed for alternate bids.
• The project requires a classification of WL5 under the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law.
• A 100% payment bond and performance bond will be required.
• Contractors must provide fire, extended coverage, vandalism, and malicious mischief insurance equal to the actual value of the insured property during construction.
• The City of Florence reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
