Defense Supply Center of Richmond (DSCR) HVAC Demo

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking a contractor to demolish and dispose of an abandoned air handler system that contains asbestos at the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR). The contractor will be required to submit an Asbestos Abatement Plan, set up a ventilation system, and ensure proper air filtration and decontamination. The contractor must also provide personal protective equipment for all personnel in the containment area and properly collect and dispose of all asbestos-containing debris and wastes. The contract will be a firm-fixed price award with a period of performance of 90 days after the Notice to Proceed. Key aspects of the job include: • Containment, demolition, and disposal of the abandoned air handler system • Submission of an Asbestos Abatement Plan • Setup of a ventilation system to ensure proper air filtration and decontamination • Provision of personal protective equipment for personnel in the containment area • Proper collection and disposal of asbestos-containing debris and wastes • Performance of a clearance test to ensure the area is decontaminated and safe • Disposal of contaminated materials off-site in accordance with EPA guidelines
