The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, is seeking information from potential contractors for a construction project to upgrade the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system at the Troy Lock and Dam in Troy, New York. The project includes the removal and replacement of the existing electrical distribution system, power/control conductors, and machinery assemblies, as well as the fabrication and installation of new machinery and a new power distribution system. The contractor will also be required to replace and upgrade the existing centralized PLC system and perform full system commissioning. The construction costs are estimated to be in the range of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000.
