Substitute Staffing As Needed District-Wide

The Long Beach Unified School District is seeking qualified vendors to provide short- and long-term substitute staffing throughout the District, including but not limited to Head Start sites. The initial term of the contract is anticipated to commence on December 1, 2025, and continue through November 30, 2026, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year terms. The District reserves the right to award multiple contractors due to the need for maximum flexibility in the timely service of its students. • The contractor will provide substitute staffing services as needed by the District. • The contractor must be familiar with the Head Start Program and adhere to Head Start Policy and Regulations. • The contractor must provide sufficient, competent, reliable, and properly licensed and/or certified personnel to provide adequate and satisfactory services under this contract. • The contractor must conduct background checks and verify that substitute staff does not appear on any Sex Offender Registry prior to accepting an assignment. • The contractor must always adhere to proper conduct, including but not limited to Board Policies, Superintendent Policies, Ed Code rules and regulations, School Site policies, and adherence to safety and security policies in place by LBUSD.
