The Nevada State Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Nevada Department of Human Services/Director’s Office, is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide Nevada Statewide Jail Based MOUD and Case Management Services. The goal of the program is to support a comprehensive treatment program for incarcerated individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), beginning with screening upon entry and ending with seamless transition to care in the community. The program aims to promote long-term recovery and improved quality of life by addressing the root causes of addiction, reducing overdose risk, and providing holistic support across the justice and healthcare continuum. The vendor will be responsible for providing MOUD and case management services, including assessment, treatment planning, and linkages to care and services upon release. The vendor will also be responsible for data collection, monitoring, and evaluation, and will be required to submit quarterly reports to the Fund for Resilient Nevada.
Some key points include:
• The vendor will be responsible for providing MOUD and case management services to inmates in Nevada county jails.
• The program aims to address inequities in treatment and recovery services by providing medically necessary treatment to incarcerated individuals.
• The vendor will be required to develop a treatment plan that includes the individual’s needs and strengths, diagnosis, short-term and long-term goals, modality and frequency of treatment, and responsible staff.
• The vendor will be responsible for providing linkages to care and services upon release, including connection to health insurance coverage, coordination of care with community providers, and provision of education and resources to prevent opioid overdose.
