IVH Loftus & Malloy Water Infiltration

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is soliciting competitive sealed bids for the remediation of water infiltration and flooding at the Loftus and Malloy wings of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, IA. The work includes extensive site‑work, concrete repair, waterproofing, utility upgrades, electrical installations, and general construction to protect the building foundation and restore the site. • Sitework & earthmoving – excavation, grading, storm‑utility installation, back‑filling, erosion control, and top‑soil management. • Structural & concrete repairs – sidewalk, curb, trench‑drain, foundation crack repair, and concrete restoration (including rapid‑setting cement). • Waterproofing system – full membrane installation, drainage boards, waterstops, expansion joint sealing, and EPDM removal/replacement. • Electrical & low‑voltage – new conduit, cable trays, sump‑pump power, lighting fixtures, fire‑stop penetrations, and coordination with existing transformers. • General construction – handrail modifications, roof panel work, ceiling‑tile removal, painting, vinyl‑base replacement, and landscaping restoration. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder and will run from early June 2026 through mid‑November 2026.
