California Advanced Services Fund: Broadband Adoption Account – July 2026 Cycle

The California Advanced Services Fund Broadband Adoption Account provides grants to increase publicly available or after-school broadband access and digital inclusion. The grants will be given to programs and projects in communities with demonstrated low broadband access, including low-income communities, senior citizen communities, and communities facing socioeconomic barriers to broadband adoption. Eligible projects include digital literacy training programs, public education, and broadband access projects. The California Public Utilities Commission may fund up to 85 percent of the eligible program costs, and any remaining project costs must be funded by other sources. • Eligible applicants include businesses, nonprofits, public agencies, local governments, tribes, senior centers, schools, public libraries, and community-based organizations. • The total estimated available funding is $30,000,000. • The expected number of awards and estimated amount per award are dependent on the application period. • A letter of intent is required, and matched funding of 15% is necessary. • The funding source is state, and the funding method is reimbursement. • The period of performance is 24 months.
