Description
The California Highway Patrol is seeking a qualified contractor to provide a dedicated weapons firing range facility for the Capistrano Area Office. The contractor will own, operate, and maintain the range (including restroom facilities) within 30 miles of the office, supply all range safety rules, retain spent brass, and support quarterly and qualification shooting events for pistols, rifles, and shotguns. The agreement runs for three years with monthly payments based on a rate submitted by the bidder.
• Provide a fully functional weapons firing range (≤ 30 mi from 32951 Camino Capistrano) with exclusive use for ~100 CHP personnel.
• Operate the range under contractor‑established safety protocols, retain spent ammunition, and support scheduled quarterly and qualification shoots for .40 caliber pistols, .223 caliber rifles, and 00‑buckshot shotguns.
• Assume all costs for taxes, insurance, licensing, maintenance, and liability; submit monthly invoices for the 36‑month term.
