Description
The City of Salina is seeking qualified contractors to execute Phase 4B of its Parks Concrete Improvements program. The work includes installing new concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and pavement across multiple city parks, as well as associated site work such as trenching, back‑filling, grading, seeding, and traffic‑control measures. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and will require performance and payment bonds equal to the contract price, 10 % retainage, and a two‑year warranty on all work.
• Scope covers concrete sidewalk removal & new construction (4‑in, 5‑in, 6‑in), curb‑gutter installation, reinforced concrete pavement, aggregate base placement, and finish grading with seed‑grass.
• Optional alternates include specific sidewalk repairs at Kenwood Park and Bill Burke, and median installations at other park sites.
• Bid deadline is May 21, 2026; substantial completion is required by 03 Oct 2027 with final completion by 04 Oct 2027. Bonds, insurance, and a $36 filing fee are mandatory.
