On CDOT System Signal Preemption Equipment Installation

The City of Golden is seeking a contractor to install Owner-furnished emergency vehicle preemption (EVP) equipment at seven intersections. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, permitting, coordination, installation, and testing services necessary to make the EVP systems fully operational and compatible with the Golden Fire Department's vehicle-based preemption technology and existing traffic signal infrastructure. Key aspects of the job include: • Installing Owner-furnished Opticom signal preemption platform equipment • Coordinating with the City and other stakeholders to ensure successful installation • Ensuring compatibility with existing traffic signal infrastructure and vehicle-based preemption technology • Providing all necessary labor, tools, and equipment for the installation • Conducting testing to ensure the EVP systems are fully operational
