R--Intent to Award - USGS Samples NADP-NTN Site NY99

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking a contractor to operate a National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) wet atmospheric monitoring station at site NY99, located in Orange County, New York. The contractor will be responsible for weekly site visits to collect and process precipitation samples, transmit associated data, and perform routine instrument checks and maintenance. The contract will be for a 12-month base period, with four 12-month option periods. The USGS is funding the scientific activity, and the sponsoring organization, Black Rock Forest Consortium, maintains control of the site access. Key aspects of the job include: • Weekly site visits to collect and process precipitation samples • Transmission of associated data, including precipitation gage records • Routine instrument checks and maintenance • Operation of a field laboratory to process and ship samples • Collaboration with the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) and the USGS for site specifications, maintenance, and performance.
