6515--Sterile Processing Steam Sterilizers

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from potential contractors for the provision and installation of sterile processing steam sterilizers at the Jack C. Montgomery VAMC and VA 51st Dental Clinic in Oklahoma. The selected contractor will be required to deliver, install, and test the sterilizers, as well as provide training and maintenance services. The contractor must ensure that the sterilizers meet or exceed the minimum specifications outlined in the statement of work, including chamber size and construction, electrical and compliance requirements, capacity and performance, and control and display features. The contractor must also comply with all relevant safety, infection control, and environmental standards. Some key points to consider include: • The contractor must provide a detailed installation plan and schedule for approval. • The contractor must ensure that all installation and facility modifications comply with OEM specifications, VHA directives, and VA infection-control protocols. • The contractor must provide initial operator training to designated SPS staff as part of project completion. • The contractor must report any equipment malfunction, breach, or environmental safety concern immediately to the COR. • The contractor must provide written confirmation of adequate insurance protection against negligent work and other forms of liability.
