Description
The City and Borough of Sitka is seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate the storm‑drain system on Wachusetts Street, including the design, fabrication, and installation of a new fish‑passage culvert, complete demolition and reconstruction of existing roadways, utilities, and related infrastructure, and extensive stream‑bank restoration. The project is funded partially by federal grants and must comply with prevailing‑wage, Buy‑America, and environmental regulations.
• Construct a 15‑ft steel (or optional aluminum) arch culvert with headwalls and wingwalls, meeting detailed engineering and BABA requirements.
• Perform clearing and grubbing, rock demolition, grading, pavement (asphalt concrete) replacement, and installation of a new sanitary‑sewer lift station.
• Provide all required documentation, including work plans, record‑as‑built drawings, and compliance certifications, with substantial completion targeted for August 15 2027.
