Intermittent Roving Peace Corps Medical Officer (PCMO) Personal Services Contractor(s)

The Peace Corps is seeking a licensed and nationally certified nurse practitioner or physician to serve as an Intermittent Roving Peace Corps Medical Officer (PCMO) personal services contractor. The selected individual will provide healthcare, education, and counseling to Peace Corps Volunteers and Trainees and manage the Peace Corps Volunteer health care program in their countries of assignment. The contract is for a one-year period with up to three or four option years, and the work schedule will be full-time on an as-needed/intermittent basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working as a PCMO or in a comparable role in an overseas environment, as well as experience in providing health education, emotional support, and short-term counseling. Key responsibilities include: • Providing healthcare services to Peace Corps Volunteers and Trainees • Managing the Peace Corps Volunteer health care program • Providing health education and counseling • Maintaining a flexible work schedule, including working a minimum of 40 hours per week with after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities • Traveling to countries around the world frequently for durations ranging from 1-6 months
