RFQ - 2026 Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Geomorphic Services

The Lewis County Department of Public Works is seeking a consultant to provide hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic services for various public works projects. The selected consultant will be expected to provide professional services as projects are scheduled or as circumstances emerge that require expertise in these areas. The services may include hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, geomorphic analysis, environmental permit assistance, and similar work. The agreement will be for two years with an option to extend for an additional year. The consultant will be expected to work collaboratively with the County and other agencies, interest groups, and permit applicants. Some key services that the consultant will be expected to provide include: • Floodplain studies and hydrologic analysis • Hydraulic analysis of bridges and culverts • Geomorphic analysis of streams and rivers • Environmental permit assistance for water crossing structures • Design of bank and scour protection and river training structures The consultant will be selected based on their qualifications, experience, availability, and response time, as well as the costs associated with their services.
