Description
The Department of Children, Youth and Families is seeking a qualified contractor to provide on-going training and technical assistance for the Strengthening Families Washington Perinatal Mental Health initiative. The goal of the initiative is to increase capacity within communities to recognize, support, and refer families to appropriate support for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The contractor will provide assistance to funded communities, coordinate statewide training efforts, and provide trainings to stakeholders and communities. The contract term will start on July 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extensions.
Some key responsibilities of the contractor include:
• Developing a detailed work plan to describe the work to be completed during the contract term
• Providing universal knowledge and content expertise regarding Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders
• Supporting funded communities in planning for and identifying community training opportunities
• Providing trainings to stakeholders and communities, including a minimum of two two-day Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder Overview trainings
• Facilitating peer connection opportunities for support group facilitators, 1:1 peer support program providers, and task force leaders
• Disseminating informational resources for funding and sustainability of support groups and other community Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder intervention resources
