• Applicants must submit a project proposal, including a cover letter, project abstract summary, and budget narrative.
• The program requires recipients to submit financial and performance reports, including a final report within 120 days of the award period end date.
• The TWG Program is part of the Congressionally authorized State and Tribal Wildlife Grant (STWG) Program.
• The program has awarded over $118 million to Native American Tribes since its inception in 2003.
• The program supports the recovery of threatened and endangered species, as well as the prevention of new species listings under the Endangered Species Act.
