Description
The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services to remove and replace existing wood windows in the Educational Building at North Central Correctional Facility. The project consists of replacement of 32 exterior wood windows, removal, replacement, and touch-up to facade and interior finishes associated with the work needed for full replacement. The designer will be required to coordinate with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and ensure that the design meets the SHPO's requirements. The project budget is currently $142,000 for construction, but this is outdated and needs to be revised.
• The project requires a minimum of 10 site visits (Pre-Construction-Closeout)
• The designer will be required to use the Procore online project management system
• The designer will be required to provide a project-specific Certificate of Insurance and a Professional Liability policy of $2,000,000 with a deductible of $25,000
• The designer will be required to provide a lump sum broken down by schedule of values
• The designer will be required to provide resumes for all technical staff that will be assigned to the project
• The designer will be required to provide anticipated hours and rates for each person on the design team
