Description
The Lapeer County Intermediate School District is soliciting bids for the replacement of two roof top units (RTUs) at its Education & Technology Center. The minimum requirements include providing crane and rigging to remove existing RTUs and set new RTUs, demo and removal of existing RTUs, furnishing and installing two new RTUs, installing new curb adapters, re-piping gas piping as applicable, equipping with hail guard, and re-connecting power using existing power sources. The successful bidder must complete the work by January 30, 2027.
• The two RTUs to be replaced are Carrier Model 50TJ-024—61787 (20 Ton) and Carrier Model 50TJ-016—617871 (15 Ton).
• The new RTUs must be 20 Ton and 15 Ton, respectively.
• The awardee must insure the economizer will match the airflow of the existing construction.
• The awardee must power on, activate, and perform all manufacturer startup tests to insure correct mechanical startup, guaranteeing manufacturer warranty.
