Shaped Charges - M2A4 15lb & M3A1 40lb

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island is seeking sources for the production of shaped demolition charges, specifically the M2A4 15lb and M3A1 40lb charges. These charges are used for boring holes in various materials and are critical components in the U.S. military's arsenal. The contract will be an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with 5, 12-month ordering periods on a firm-fixed-price basis. The contractor will be required to conduct a First Article Test (FAT) and Lot Acceptance Tests on these items. • The M2A4 charge consists of at least 10 lbs. of Composition B and has a 48-gram Composition A-3 booster charge. • The M3A1 charge consists of approximately 30.5 lbs. of Composition B and has a 48-gram Composition A-3 booster charge. • The contractor must have special skills and facilities, including melt-pour loading of high explosives, laboratory personnel, and quality assurance. • The contractor will be required to provide a brief summary of their company's capabilities, including facilities, personnel experience, and past relevant manufacturing experience.
