Description
The Chatham County Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting proposals to design, provide, and install playground equipment at the Charles C. Brooks Park Complex. The equipment should be unique, engaging, and meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) certification. The proposer will be required to coordinate the final design and selection of playground equipment with the Recreation Department. The scope of work includes providing a modular composite play structure for children ages 5-12, with a minimum user capacity of 82 and a maximum fall height of 9 feet. The structure should include elevated play activities, ground-level play activities, and accessible components.
• The playground equipment should meet all current playground safety standards and certifications.
• The proposer should provide a detailed design proposal, including top and side elevation layouts.
• The proposer should specify how long their company has been in the business of providing this type of equipment/service.
• The proposer should provide a list of three specific projects that demonstrate their experience in designing, providing, and installing playground equipment of similar type, size, and setting.
