Hauling of Voting Machines for Livingston Parish

The Secretary of State's office is seeking bids for a drayage contract to haul voting machines and related election materials in Livingston Parish. The contract will be for a primary term of approximately 12 months, with the option to renew for two additional 12-month periods. The successful bidder will be required to provide enclosed trucks and trailers to transport the voting machines, as well as labor and equipment to load and unload the machines. The contractor will also be responsible for delivering and setting up the voting machines at polling precincts and demonstration sites, and for returning the machines to the warehouse after the election. Key aspects of the job include: • Hauling and delivering voting machines to and from polling precincts and demonstration sites • Setting up and removing voting machines at polling precincts • Providing labor and equipment to load and unload voting machines • Maintaining and repairing voting machines as needed • Coordinating with the Parish Custodian and the Secretary of State's office to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of voting machines
