Description
The project involves vegetation removal, including mowing and trimming along both sides of the road, to the edge of the clear zone or edge of right of way, whichever is less, and vertically to daylight, for all trees and tree branches that are encroaching or are a threat to encroach from the sides of the R/W onto the travel ways on 9.44 shoulder miles of county roads. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents.
Some key requirements and considerations for this project include:
• Valid proof of Insurance, equal to or exceeding the Owner’s requirements
• List of three references where the Bidder has performed similar work
• Provide a list of equipment to be used for the project
• The contractor must be able to bond 100% of the cost of the submitted bid, through a surety company with the qualifications listed below
• Bidder will provide a list of sub-contractors that will be used in conjunction with this project
• Bidder must perform 70% or more of the project, without the use of sub-contractors
